Storyteller Libby Franck performs

Rebuilding Lives: Miriam Van Waters and the Framingham Women’s Reformatory.

Libby Franck will take on the persona of Dr. Van Waters - a pioneering prison reformer who taught women how to regain their dignity as workers, mothers and citizens. Learn about her firing and subsequent reinstatement as Superintendent after a public hearing that made daily headlines in the Boston papers for months in 1949. Refreshments will be served. Members free. Students $5.00. Non-members $10.00
