Description BAPTIST CHURCH

Anchoring the west end of the South Common is the South Framingham Baptist Church, its romanesque design created by Alexander Rice Esty in 1854. By 1980, both the name and appearance of the church had changed. The building had been remodeled to incorporate colonial revival taste in design and materials in the 1930s. The name had changed to Park Street Baptist Church. After the Park Street Baptist Church joined forces with the First Baptist Church, the Armenian Church of the Holy Translators purchased the building in 2001.
