This is one of Richard Long's industries in the Waverley St.-Fountain St. area. The five-story concrete building, 500 feet long, was dedicated in 1910. It still exists.Long manufactured shoe machinery, needles, boots, shoes and (for the military in World War I) leather and canvas goods. Later Long assembled his Bay State automobiles there.
