Colleen Jenkins – 2016 Tom Desilets Memorial Intern

Our summer intern, Framingham State University senior Colleen Jenkins, had no idea that she would end up sculpting mannequins for our “History in the Stitches” exhibition when she first started working here. She was a wonderful addition to our community and it was a joy to watch her absorb all that takes place here on a daily basis.

She came to learn about work in a museum and discovered that “a museum worker keeps history moving forward, doing whatever it takes to tell the community a story they think is important…I never understood the impact places like the FHC have on the surrounding community and I am leaving with a great sense of admiration and gratitude.”

Please join in a worldwide day of giving and support the very local Framingham History Center. We’re generating great energy around our programming, exhibitions, outreach and celebrations with the goal of preserving Framingham’s identity and character. Please give at whatever level you can and thank you in advance.
